Does it handle hair and fur edges?
Yes — that's the main reason we ship this tool. Basic background removers leave blocky edges around hair. Our U²-Net-based model produces a soft alpha matte that preserves individual hair strands and fur detail. Test it on a portrait to see the difference.
What image types work best?
Anything with a clear subject-background separation: product shots on white/coloured backgrounds, portraits, full-body photos, e-commerce listings. Struggles with: heavily camouflaged subjects, motion blur, or images where the subject blends with the background tonally.
Is the output really transparent?
Yes — we return a PNG with a real alpha channel, not a JPEG with white where the background was. You can drop it onto any colour or scene without manual masking.
Can I remove backgrounds in bulk?
The current UI is one-at-a-time. For bulk runs (10+ images), use the API directly — same 6-credit cost per image, scriptable from your end.
Does it work on hair / pets / glasses / smoke?
Hair: yes, very well. Pets / fur: yes. Transparent objects (glass, smoke, water): partial — alpha values reflect transparency but the model isn't a physics simulator. For perfect glass cutouts, use a manual masking tool after our AI does the rough cut.
