How realistic is the result?
Production-grade — faces blend naturally with target skin tone, lighting, and angle. Results look real on phone screens, social posts, and most desktop viewing. Close-pixel inspection on 4K screens may reveal slight blending edges. Good enough for content, comedy, mockups, prototyping; not forensic-grade.
Is face-swap legal?
In most jurisdictions: yes for fictional / artistic / personal use. NOT yes for non-consensual sexual content, defamation, fraud, or misrepresenting public figures in misleading contexts. Our terms of service prohibit those uses regardless of jurisdiction. Get permission before swapping someone else's face into a public-facing post.

What images work best?
Both images: front-facing or 3/4 angle, well-lit, single face per image, eyes open. Avoid: heavy sunglasses, obscuring objects (microphones, hands across face), extreme angles, motion blur, low-resolution faces. The clearer the face in both inputs, the cleaner the swap.
Can I swap multiple faces in one image?
codeplugtech/face-swap focuses on the most prominent face in the target image. If the target has 3 faces and you want to swap them all, run the tool 3 times with each output as the next input. (Higher-tier multi-face swappers like Easel AI exist but cost 5-10× more — not worth it for our pricing tier.)
Are my uploaded faces stored?
No. We process the images, return the result, and discard the inputs. Source/target images are not used to train models, not shared, not retained beyond the request. The output image is hosted on our R2 storage so you can download it; delete from your account anytime.
